Recap of TAPDC's TV Shoot

Thanks to all of the TAPDC volunteers who braved the wind and the rain to help us make our stunning PSA commercial set to air in a couple of days.

Volunteers came from as far away as West Virginia and as close as the parking lot next door. Thank you Shamrock Fest goers for helping us out and providing us with non-stop entertainment.

We started the day by creating our own tapdc water glasses with markers, paint, glitter--anything we could get our hands on. It was amazing to see the beautiful designs people could create on a muddy field. When the crane started to hoist up we knew it was time to start.

With the director 60 feet in the air, we stood shoulder to shoulder hoisting our handmade signs towards the sky. Our arms burned, our legs ached, but we didn't stop smiling. Then as if someone up there saw us, the skies opened and started filling up our water glass with rain. (Then we kind of stopped smiling). Then the director asked us to do the electric slide. Yes the Electric Slide--100 TAPDC volunteers doing the electric slide.

So we can't wait to see the final product. We will post the PSA as soon as it is available.

Oh and the best part--we collected $104 in donations for Tap DC by chatting with Shamrock festival goers who were desperate to use our port-o-potties. No joke.
